Happy Labor Day to those of you here in the US, where we honor the work of the American worker and the labor movement (though lately it’s looking more like a wake).<\/p>\n

This also marks the end of the summer vacation season, which here at the shore is something of a mixed blessing, since my wife and kids have to return to school, but we also get to experience the phenomenon of ‘local summer’ during which we experience the fair weather and outdoor recreation largely free of the tourist horde.<\/p>\n

Late last week one of my longtime fellow Soulstrut<\/strong><\/a>-ters, DJ Forty Fivan<\/strong> contacted me about the possibility of running his latest mix, the extremely groovy and very heavy \u2018FortyFivan Vol 4\u2019<\/strong> as part of the Funky16Corners Soul Club<\/strong> guest mix series.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d already had a preview of the mix and thought this a capital idea, so here you have it.<\/p>\n
