The Funky16Corners 2018 Allnighter\/Pledge Drive aka The Summer of Soul 2<\/strong> has begun!<\/p>\n

We continue this year’s Summer of Soul mix series with a new mix from my man Soultaker73.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few words from the DJ:<\/p>\n

“I just want to first off thank Larry for inviting me to the festivities this year.\u00a0 This is my second appearance here on the Funky 16 Corners website after first doing the pledge drive back in 2015.\u00a0 This is the first time in a year since I spun my records.\u00a0 I hadn’t had the drive to play my records much after my mother passed away.\u00a0 When Larry asked me if I wanted to participate this year, I was like it’s a good time to dust off my turntables and records for a good cause.\u00a0 I always come here to the Funky 16 Corners to learn about an artist that I may not know about or to hear something I haven’t heard before.\u00a0 It’s always good to have someone like Larry to share his knowledge and history on this music.\u00a0 That’s why I hope everyone supports the website so we can keep this knowledge base going for years to come.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

I always say that the best medicine for dealing with the everyday grind called life, is your music that you like to play.\u00a0 So with that, here’s a second dose of The Medicine.”<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
